Meet Nikki

Nikki's extensive experience spans across local, regional, and state-level boards and committees, where she has played a leadership role in spearheading initiatives aimed at revitalizing associations and ensuring their financial stability. From orchestrating transformative changes in local marketing sessions to directing complex mergers between associations, Nikki's strategic acumen and boots-on-the-ground approach have consistently made a tangible impact.

In her capacity as a seasoned REALTOR® advocate and broker guiding hundreds of agents across three counties, Nikki is deeply entrenched in the daily intricacies of the real estate landscape. Known as the go-to resource for agents navigating the complexities of the industry, Nikki's expertise and hands-on approach have become indispensable. In the aftermath of the pandemic, Nikki assumed a leadership role in re-engaging agents, adapting to the "new normal," and reshaping brokerage culture. Notably, her efforts to strengthen relationships between local brokers and managers through interactive "Broker Breakfasts" have garnered acclaim for their effectiveness.

Within C.A.R., Nikki has contributed significantly, serving on policy committees and assuming leadership roles, including Vice-Chair of SPF. In these capacities, Nikki honed her ability to approach challenges from various perspectives, devising and executing viable strategies to address complex issues and drive meaningful change.

Why now?

“Guided by exceptional mentors, I have witnessed firsthand the invaluable support provided by associations at all levels. However, amidst challenges within our industry, I've observed a concerning disconnect between the association's offerings and members' understanding of their benefits.

As a boots-on-the-ground worker deeply involved in training and supporting agents, I've seen the impact of this gap. Agents, particularly in the post-pandemic era, are grappling with transactional complexities and seeking guidance. It's evident that we need to re-imagine our engagement strategies and reignite enthusiasm among members.

I believe we can bridge this divide and ensure that every member comprehends and champions C.A.R.'s significance. Through proactive engagement and a focus on understanding members' current needs, especially in transactional support, we can re-establish and strengthen the connection between agents and C.A.R. Just as we collectively adapted during the pandemic, in this moment it’s imperative to reassess our strategies and articulate our value collectively.

Ultimately, my candidacy for C.A.R. Treasurer is driven by a commitment to empowering every member and fostering a stronger, more connected real estate community.”

The status quo in organized real estate is being challenged. We must advocate for fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to meet the needs of our members, foster a culture of adaptability, and reshape the future of our industry.

We need to reconnect with our members to demonstrate and articulate the value of membership in a method that they will engage and embrace. We can enhance the effectiveness of our communications through collaborative dialogue and our continuous commitment to improve.

As practitioners, we are passionate about what we do. It is time to revitalize organized real estate by reigniting the passion and purpose of our members, as well as ourselves, as leaders. Together, we can re-engage our members through education, inclusion, and empowerment.
